Breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Current Shelter Status

The Lee Home will house 20 families of any size and makeup – a shelter for two parent families, single mothers, and single fathers to call home.

For every family we shelter, 36 more families are on the waiting list.

When we set out to shelter more, we knew this vision would come with its challenges – we had a specific wishlist for our fifth transitional housing site. We wanted the shelter to be:

  • close to our current shelters
  • on a large lot so that we could build an addition to shelter more families
  • sold by an off-market seller

And we found the perfect match!

former CEO of Union Rescue Mission, sold us his house, ticking every box on our wishlist.

The ideal site, the Lee Home is blocks away from our original shelter, it has a large lot so we can increase shelter capacity, and Andy and Bonnie graciously gave us a very fair price on purchasing the home.

A floor plan to cultivate independence and community

Floor Plan - First Floor

Families will share downstairs areas, sharing a cooking station, gathering in the dining and living rooms for meals, life skills classes, graduation celebrations, and house meetings.

Families will also have their own private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms to cater to families of all sizes – whether single parent or two parent families.

We are sheltering more by adding 11,000 sq. ft. to build 20 private units for 20 families.

Homelessness is complex, but we tackle the root causes through our holistic approach, offering comprehensive services that meet families’ financial, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs.

Today, over 3,000 families have experienced transformative change through our unique approach.
