Leadership Team

CEO & Rev. Megan Katerjian has a 20-year career in fundraising, policy advocacy, program development, volunteer engagement, and pastoral ministry, working for nonprofits in Los Angeles, Chicago, and South Africa, as well as churches in California.

Megan holds two master’s degrees from Fuller Seminary, a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and a certificate in nonprofit management.

When she isn’t in the office, you can find Megan hiking her favorite trails near her Altadena home, cheering on her 10-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter at various activities with her husband Harout, and enjoying her favorite meal (usually dim sum) at Pasadena’s amazing restaurants.

Jim Howe
Chief Operating & Financial Officer

Jim Howe, MBA, brings extensive experience to his role. His prior work includes serving as VP and COO of a manufacturing firm and teaching as an adjunct at Azusa Pacific University and Biola University. He is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Operations Management and Management Accounting. Previously, Jim served on the Door of Hope board from 2002 to 2016 before transitioning to his current staff level role. Jim’s commitment to service extends beyond his professional career; he has held various ministry roles as a lay leader, including board-level leadership with other non-profits and at Lake Avenue Church. He enjoys outdoor activities including mountain biking, fly-fishing, backpacking, and running.

Carmella France
Chief Development Officer

Carmella France, BBA, has an extensive career in nonprofit leadership including fundraising, finance, operations, construction and strategic planning in the Los Angeles area. With a start in accounting at Price Waterhouse and the banking industry and later secondary education, Door of Hope has been a natural progression on the journey to serve the vulnerable. For recreation, Carmella loves a good book (usually spiritual), limited series (especially true stories), pickleball, running, and hanging out with friends and her twin daughters.

Regina Williams
Head of Transitional Housing

Regina Williams, MSW a Los Angeles native, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Black Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Dominguez Hills. With 14 years of experience as a social worker, Regina is dedicated to supporting families impacted by domestic violence and homelessness, and she has a strong passion for integrating faith into her social work practice. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their cat.

Kathy Park
Head of Rehousing and Prevention

Kathy Park, Program Director of Housing and Homelessness Prevention, brings over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in social services. Her career began in Bangalore, India, at a non-profit school serving children and youth in underserved communities. She holds an undergraduate degree in Ethnic Studies and a graduate degree in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Kathy also has extensive experience providing trauma-informed care and crisis-intervention counseling for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys babysitting her twin nieces, journaling, and exploring interior design.

Melissa Yee
Director of Human Resources

Melissa Yee has been a dedicated member of Door of Hope since 2014, offering a decade of service in various capacities, including operations, development, and primarily human resources. Serving as Door of Hope’s HR Manager since 2020, Melissa is passionate about fostering a vibrant company culture rooted in core values, and promoting learning and development across the organization. Melissa holds a psychology degree from UC San Diego and a PHRca certification, with prior experience in digital supply chain management and technical recruitment in the aerospace industry. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys a good cup of matcha, immersing herself in a book, and trying to keep up with her three daughters and husband.
