Last year, at just one of our shelters, we received over 350 applications from families we couldn’t help because we were full. That’s why we’re beyond excited that we just opened a brand new shelter in January!

Families there are receiving all the same holistic services as our other shelter programs – case management, life skills, therapy, children’s programming.  In addition, moms are pursuing continuing their education or vocational training to give them an opportunity for a stable financial future where they’re earning a living wage.

Today, we have a big shout out to Mindy! Despite working over 30 hours per week, she’s also enrolled in school full-time to become a special education teacher. This semester she was enrolled in five classes and successfully completed the semester with three A’s and two Bs. She is on track to graduate by spring of 2022 and is excited for her future career in education.
