My kids and I know exactly what it feels like to not have a home and to be turned away from shelter-after-shelter because they just don’t have room.  For a family like mine, there is no greater gift than celebrating Christmas together in our own home.  That’s why I couldn’t let this Christmas season pass by without letting you know our gratitude is all for you:

Just like our family two years ago, dozens of parents call Door of Hope every week desperate for a safe place to call home for their kids.  But here’s the dilemma: they are full, maxed out!  For every family like mine, Door of Hope turns away 7 others because their three shelters are full.

Door of Hope will open a brand new transitional shelter on January 1, 2021, and we can’t Open New Doors without you!

Today, may you find joy in knowing that because of you, my family is spending this Christmas not in a car, or on the streets — but in the safety and comfort of our own home.  We are overwhelmed by gratitude, and that’s why today, from my family to yours, we say “Merry Christmas!”
