Door of Hope’s case managers work with families to empower them to be self-sufficient. Budgeting and financial literacy are just a few of the tools provided to families like Wendi’s in the video. Another one of those tools is credit repair.

Bethany’s case manager connected her with Chris — a volunteer who assists residents in repairing/improving their credit. Over the past month he’s been working with her via email to help her fix her credit. This week in case management, Bethany said, “he’s so cool.” and talked about how helpful he is!

Bethany is now researching how to best remove some items from her credit and how to have the best score before purchasing a car. Congrats on all your hard work Bethany — and a big thanks to Chris for volunteering!

We’re always looking for partners to help empower families as they transition to their own permanent housing. We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested email volunteer@doorofhope to connect!
