The name “Hope Villa” perfectly represents what this house has meant to single mothers and children who were homeless with nowhere else to go. Hope Villa was founded in 2013 in partnership with Lake Avenue Church (LAC).

The Hope Villa house is owned by LAC and sits on Villa St, right behind the church parking lot. The house sat empty for many years and the church desired to find a way to use the house to make a positive impact in the community. Door of Hope and Lake Avenue Church came together in partnership to fully remodel the Hope Villa facility and make it suitable for homeless families and children. Thanks to the generosity of many donors and volunteers, both from inside and outside LAC, Hope Villa was restored to the beautiful condition it is currently in and is able to serve an additional 5 families at a time.

At the grand opening of Hope Villa in mid 2013, LAC senior pastor, Greg Waybright said: “The calling to care for the least of these is at the very core of the gospel.” The Hope Villa house has fulfilled that calling since it's founding and has been a place of transformation and hope for many single mothers and children in need of help.
