Families receive a private room where they can feel sleep and keep all their belongings.
The vast majority of families that graduate from Door of Hope never return to homelessness again.
Your money is reinvested back into your community. We serve families from throughout the Greater Los Angeles area and the San Gabriel Valley.
For families experiencing homelessness, it is virtually impossible to rebuild your life when living on the streets or in your car. By having a room to stay in, families have access to clean bathrooms, healthy food, and life-changing services. Children are able to re-enroll if necessary and receive the educational assistance needed to catch up. Having a room provides families the stability they need to focus on escaping homelessness.
All rooms are private and have beds, dressers, closets, clean linens, and hygiene items. Having your own room gives a family piece of mind. Adults are able to go to work, and kids are able to go to school, without worrying about where they will sleep or whether their belongings are safe.
All families have access to clean bathrooms, meals, and laundry machines. Having these basic necessities taken care of gives families the ability to focus on the future instead of the present needs. Without worrying about how they are going to feed their children, adults are able to focus on finding jobs and saving money.
All families have access to daily life-changing services that are designed to break the cycle of homelessness. Adults receive case management, counseling, career counseling, and life-skills classes. Children have access to an after-school program that provides them with homework assistance, tutoring, and fun activities including field trips to the zoo, parks, beaches, and college campuses.
